Program Aides in Training (PATs)

Program Aides in Training (PATs) are Girl Scouts who are learning to be Program Aides (PAs). They participates in the same programs as other campers while working to earn their PA pin.

HOW TO BECOME A PA

UPDATE: Girl Scouts recently announced a change to the requirements for becoming a Program Aide (PA). The Leader in Action (LiA) award is no longer a pre-requisite. However, Girl Scouts are still required to complete a Council-approved leadership training program to become a PA.

Our Program Aides in Training (PAT) leaders are adapting GSHCDC's PAT program to meet or exceed the new requirements.

Girl Scouts who register to be PATs at GSHCDC 2026, and meet attendance and program requirements, will "graduate" at the end of the camp week as a Program Aide. They will be able to volunteer in future years as a PA at GSHCDC.

More information will be shared closer to camp. If you have any questions in the meantime, please contact us.

LUNCH ORDER OPTION

PATs can order lunch on camp days, at a reasonable cost, using our Lunch Order Form. Meals will be prepared on-site by camp kitchen staff and PAs, and available for pick-up at lunchtime.

Orders and pre-payments must be submitted first thing in the morning, when signing in at the PAT Unit, using the forms and envelopes available there.

Pre-payments (to cover multiple days) are encouraged, with any unused funds returned to the PAT at the end of the week. But you can also pay for a day at a time.

**The 2026 lunch order form will be posted closer to camp.**
