About Us

Girl Scout Howard County Day Camp (GSHCDC) is a volunteer-run camp that operates each Summer. During camp, girls will enjoy theme-centered activities such as crafts, STEM, games, dance, songs, archery (3rd grade and up), and much more!

Our campers are registered Girl Scouts in grades 1-6 (as of Sept. 2025). For girls in grades 7-12, we offer training and support to become Program Aidestrusted youth volunteers who assist our staff and other adult volunteers in leading the younger campers.

DATES AND TIMES

There is one week of camp this year:

  • Session One: June 23-27, 2025

Camp hours are from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm.

COST

(grades as of Sept. 2025)

  • 1st to 5th Grade: $225
  • 6th Grade: $240
  • PA Training (7th Grade): $225
  • Program Aides (8th-12th): $100

TRANSPORTATION

Campers and PATs are transported to camp via bus from various points in Howard County.

PAs can ride the bus (and serve as bus monitors), drive to camp (with a full driver's license), carpool with an adult volunteer, or carpool with another PA (with a full driver's license).

Under Maryland law, a provisional driver's license has restrictions, including that drivers cannot transport non-family members.

Note: GSHCDC reserved an additional bus this year, to have enough seats to transport all PAs that need to ride the bus to get to and from camp. The increase in the PA registration fee helps to pay for the additional bus.
