About Us

Girl Scout Howard County Day Camp (GSHCDC) is a volunteer-run camp that operates each Summer. During camp, girls will enjoy theme-centered activities such as crafts, STEM, games, dance, songs, archery (3rd grade and up), and much more!

Our campers are registered Girl Scouts in grades 1-6 (as of Sept. 2026). For girls in grades 7-12, we offer training and support to become Program Aides—trusted youth volunteers who assist our staff and other adult volunteers in leading the younger campers.

DATES AND TIMES

There is one week of camp this year:

• Session One: June 29 to July 3, 2026

Camp hours are from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm.

COST

Camp registration fees are the same as last year:

(Grades as of Sept. 2026)

• 1st to 5th Grade: $225
• 6th Grade: $240
• PA Training (7th Grade): $225
• Program Aides (8th-12th): $100

LOCATION

Camp Ilchester was sold to Howard County in Fall 2022, and the county began a renovation project that is still in process.

But we heard it loud and clear from our campers, families, and volunteers alike—GSHCDC is special. We love camp! So we searched for a new place to call home, and found it thanks to the kindness of a community partner in Fulton. We have run one week of day camp there each year since 2023, and will return in June 2026!
